The admin panel gives you all possibilities to manage your website. You can access the admin panel to go to you website and put /usm
after the domain name of your website.
For instance, if your website is www.example.com
, the admin panel can be found at www.example.com/usm
.
You always have to log in before you can access the admin panel. Your developer can configure the way you have to log into the admin panel. Normally you will use the default USM login page, as shown below (where your website name will be visible instead of "USM Example Website" of course.
But your developer is able to configure a different way of logging in. In that case the login page may look different.
After logging into the admin panel of your website, you should see something like this:
You can click on a tile to continue in the admin panel and manage a certain element of your website.
The parts you can always expect, are:
The number of elements currently visible in the table - due to searching or pagination - as part of the total number of items there are.
Headers of the data presented in the table.
If a heading is blue, you can sort the data by that column.
An icon displayed next to the header shows with column is currently used for sorting.
Click on a header again to reverse the sorting order.
Input fields to filter the data presented in the table. Start typing in the input field and press Enter to commit your search term.
Every line of data will have actions you can perform on it. Each action will have a button on the end of each row.
When there are a lot of data to present in the table, the table will be paginated. Using the buttons at the bottom of the table you will be able to browse through all data.
If you see even more tiles on the home screen, the developer of your website has installed plugins!
Often an overview of something on your website, like or , is presented as a table. These tables are always structured in the same way, as highlighted in the screenshot below.
