The files admin can be used to upload images or documents to use in your website.

Files will have the category editor.

Files overview

The files overview gives you a list of all files of your website.

The overview page shows the following things:

  1. Information on your current files:

    1. Category - the category of your file.

    2. Name - the file name.

    3. File size - how large the file is.

    4. Last accessed - the last time your file was accessed on your website. Accessing the file in the admin panel will not change this date.

    5. Created at - when the file was first uploaded.

File detail view

If you want to know more about a certain file, you open it's detail view. Below an example of what this view shows you:

  1. Action buttons for your file

  2. Detailed information of your file

    1. Category - the category of your file.

    2. Name - the file name.

    3. File size - how large the file is.

    4. File Hash (md5) - technical value you can use to verify the exact document.

    5. Last accessed - the last time your file was accessed on your website. Accessing the file in the admin panel will not change this date.

    6. Created at - when the file was first uploaded.

    7. Updated at - when the file was last changed.

  3. File referencing information - the URL you need to copy-paste if you want to use the file somewhere.

    1. If you want to use the file in your website.

    2. If you want to use the file somewhere else on the internet.

  4. If your file is an image, a preview is shown here.

Upload new or edit file

When uploading a new file, or editing an existing file, you use the following page:

  1. File - the file itself.

  2. Category - the category of your file. Useful for grouping your files.

  3. Name - the file name.

    1. When you are uploading a new file, you can leave this field empty to use the original file name.

  4. Buttons to either save the changes, or go back to discard your changes.
